"I began my journey in forensic psychiatry over 29 years ago. I am board certified in three areas of psychiatry, forensic, addiction and adult psychiatry. My formal training in forensic psychiatry was completed at University of Washington in Seattle, WA.
Beginning my clinical practice in 1985, 50% of my time is devoted to clinical practice and 50% of my time to my forensic practice.
In addition to my psychiatric training, my strong medical background includes a Pediatric Internship and four years as an Emergency Room Physician.
My psychiatric clinical practice involves me with complicated psychiatric and medical disorders, and the newest treatment modalities. This, coupled with my medical and forensic training and experiences, provides me with a unique and in-depth understanding of the nexus between mental health issues and the law. This understanding enables me to provide unique insights and approaches to lawyers and the courts.
